White girls, how much does race play a role in choosing your mate?

I am just wondering.... I am trying to get as much information as possible. There is this girl in my class(college), and we get along very well. I know she doesn't have a boyfriend, and I am hoping to ask her out. But she is white, and I have an African Origin(black).





But, what I have heard from my roomates is pretty discouraging....they say that white women may be friends..but they will never cross that line...one of them even said, ';they may be nice to you ..and everything..but deep down inside, they look down on black people and are very racist.'; Is this true? for the most part, the social exchanges that I have had with white women are pleasant..especially with this girl...it is hard for me to believe that white women have this hatefull side.....One of my friends said..'; for the sake of political correctness, they will say the right thing, but they are very racist when it comes to dating...and they will try to hide their racism by saying they only have preferance for white men';......Is this all true? so..let me ask the question, how many of you will never give a person of African descent a chance for relationship?





Please ....only the truth...so that I don't make a fool out of myself with this girl.....I am in the U.S.A by the way. I came to this country four years ago. Along the way, tell me if you are from U.S.A, Western Europe, or somewhere else....White girls, how much does race play a role in choosing your mate?

Race does not matter to me at all, I think you should ask her out! Race has nothing to do with dating or marriage for me. And sorry I'm not full blooded white I am American Indian also, but still ask her out! I am from the USA.
